Tibetan filmmaker Shenpen Khymsar’s feature film Four River Six Ranges won Best Soundtrack at the 2025 Julien Dubuque International Film Festival. The award honours its unique music, co-created with Rohit Shakya and Soorya Musiq, blending traditional sounds with modern production. In his speech, Khymsar reflected on exile, music’s healing power, and his wish to uplift young Tibetans. Based on the life of Tibetan freedom fighters, the film premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam and continues to resonate globally through screenings and community events. It was co-produced with Dorjee Wangdi Dewatshang.
