GATPM Joins London Rally to Block China’s Mega-Embassy Plan

The Global Alliance for Tibet & Persecuted Minorities (GATPM), led by Tsering Passang, joined over 4,000 demonstrators in London on 14 June to oppose China’s planned mega-embassy at Royal Mint Court. Speaking near the Tower of London, Passang denounced the proposed complex as a threat to civil liberties and British democracy. The rally, organised by Hong Kong diaspora leaders, drew support from Tibetans, Uyghurs, and local activists. GATPM urged the UK government to reject the project, warning it would enable transnational repression and surveillance by the Chinese Communist Party.
