Indian Photographer Marks Dalai Lama’s 90th With Photo Tribute

Indian journalist and Tibetologist Vijay Kranti launched a unique photo exhibition titled “My 50-Years With Dalai Lama” in New Delhi on July 4 to honor the Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday. Hosted at AIFACS gallery, the exhibit features rare portraits and historic moments captured during Kranti’s five-decade association with the Tibetan leader. Notable guests included former MP Balbir Punj, Taiwan’s Wilson Chang, and Tibetan Representative Jigme Jugney. A parallel exhibition is also running in Freiburg, Germany. The New Delhi show runs through July 10, showcasing Kranti’s iconic photo archive spanning India and Chinese-occupied Tibet.
