Tibetan performers won the overall first position at the 30th anniversary Berlin Carnival Festival on May 24, according to the Central Tibetan Administration. The Association of Tibetans in Germany and the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts joined the event through a Tibet Bureau Geneva initiative. The group presented traditional dances, folk songs, yak dances, and costumes from Tibet’s three provinces. The four-day festival featured more than 4,000 performers from over 70 groups and drew more than 770,000 visitors.
