Tibetan Parliament Confirms Six Members for the 17th Kashag

The 18th Tibetan Parliament in Exile elected six candidates to the 17th Kashag on the opening day of its first session in Dharamshala. Sikyong Penpa Tsering nominated these officials under Article 22 of the Charter of the Tibetans in Exile, which requires parliamentary approval for cabinet members. The newly confirmed ministers are Tsegyal Chukya Dranyi, Palden Dhondup, Tsering Dhondup Gyangser, Ugyen Tenzin, Kunga Tashi, and Pema Tso. These leaders bring extensive administrative experience to the Central Tibetan Administration. This swift election successfully formalizes the executive leadership required to fulfill the Sikyong's renewed mandate for Tibet.
