Tibetans in Nepal Celebrate Dalai Lama’s 90th Birthday

Over 1,000 Tibetans gathered at Samdupling Tibetan Settlement in Jawalakhel, near Kathmandu, to mark the 90th birthday of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. The event was led by Chuwar Kyabje Kuntse Rinpoche, with attendance from diplomats representing America, Europe, and Asia, as well as Nepalese officials and Himalayan Buddhist communities. The celebration featured traditional dances and performances by the Nepal Tibetan Women’s Association and local groups. Representative Tulku Ngawang Chokdup presented dignitaries with the Dalai Lama’s autobiography and documents on his reincarnation shared at the 15th Tibetan Religious Conference.
