V-TAG Canada Hosts Dinner Honouring Sikyong, Showcasing Youth Leadership

On 16 May 2025, V-TAG Canada hosted a dinner reception for Sikyong Penpa Tsering at the Tibetan Canadian Cultural Center, drawing over 300 attendees. The event marked a milestone in youth-led civic engagement, featuring cultural performances, a youth panel, and a national video tribute. Attended by Tibetan community members, officials, and allies, the evening highlighted V-TAG’s commitment to empowering Tibetan youth. MPP Alexa Gilmour praised the group’s role in strengthening Canada’s multicultural fabric. Fully funded through volunteer and donor support, the event affirmed growing community belief in youth leadership and its role in shaping the Tibetan future.
