The Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) and the Tibetan community in Dharamshala commemorated the 65th Tibetan Democracy Day today at the Tsuglagkhang courtyard. Distinguished guests included Indian MP Alfred Kan-Ngam Arthur, Japanese MP Wada Yuichiro, and a delegation from the International Campaign for Tibet. The event featured speeches, awards, and cultural performances. Sikyong Penpa Tsering read the Kashag statement, while ICT’s Christina Jansen shared reflections on democracy and freedom. MP Arthur emphasized His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s legacy of compassion, while MP Wada reaffirmed Japan’s support for Tibetan democracy and religious freedom.
