Science Workshop for Monks and Nuns Opens in Dharamshala

Department of Religion and Culture of the Central Tibetan Administration has launched its 10th Modern Science Workshop for Monks and Nuns at the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives in Dharamshala. Running from 15 to 26 September, the program brings together 29 monks and nuns from more than a dozen monasteries and nunneries. Four science teachers from LTWA are leading the sessions. The initiative follows His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 2011 guidance to integrate science with Buddhist education, and a 2013 resolution by Tibetan religious institutions to promote scientific learning in monastic settings.
