Tibetan Government-in-Exile Urges Trump to Raise Tibet Issue with Xi

Tibetan government-in-exile has called on US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping to address the unresolved Sino-Tibet conflict during their high-stakes bilateral meeting in Beijing. Speaking to ANI, spokesperson Tenzin Lekshay emphasized that the US should leverage its existing policies to push for dialogue directly with Chinese leaders, who currently occupy Tibet and suppress its cultural identity. While Trump praised his long-standing diplomatic relationship with Xi, and the Chinese President called for bilateral cooperation amidst global turbulence, Lekshay stressed that any genuine discussions on global stability, humanity, and prosperity must include a resolution to the ongoing Tibetan crisis.
